Iwi reps take their seat at council committee table
Three Te Tauihu Iwi Representatives joined the Marlborough District Council Standing Committees last month, providing further opportunity for Māori voice in council's decision-making processes.
Our new MDC Iwi Representatives are:
- Dawn McConnell - Te Ātiawa, Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāti Koata
- RaNae Niven - Rangitāne o Wairau, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Koata, Ngāti Kuia, Te Ātiawa, Ngāti Apa ki Te Rā Tō
- Ruihana Smith - Ngāti Kuia, Ngāti Apa ki Te Rā Tō and Ngāi Tahu
