Te Hoe Tū 2026 - Registrations Open

Hurō! E ngā rangatahi puta noa i te motu, kua wātea ināianei ngā rēhitatanga mō tō tātou wānanga ā-tau, ko Te Hoe Tū!

We’re excited to share that registrations for our Te Hoe Tū 2026 rangatahi wānanga are officially open! Please register here by 18 March.

Te Hoe Tū is an annual four-day mana tipu rangatahi wānanga for our 12 whānau aged between 13-17. Based at Te Āwhina Marae in Motueka, our rangatahi strengthen their connection to place, people and potential through wānanga, waka ama, kōrero tuku iho, mahi hākinakina, and visiting wāhi tapu.

In 2026, Te Hoe Tū will be led by our Kairukuruku - Alena Beard alongside our two kaiako, Tamu Mausi'i and Kiara Duke-Love. Rangatahi will dive deep into wānanga with learning karakia, waiata and haka sharing outdoor and cultural experiences across Riuwaka, Kaiteretere, Motueka and Whakatū.

There are plenty of opportunities for our pākeke and kaumātua to join in across the four days too as parents and haukāinga are invited to participate in sections of the programme.

Mā te rangatahi te ao e ārahi! The younger generations are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today.
